Boy, isn't that a loaded title for this post. Rest assured, there is not a little Mikey on the way (for now), just the pitter patter of furry paws on our kitchen floor. That's right, we are the proud owners of a kitty cat. His name is Ari (as in Ari Gold from our fav HBO program Entourage) and he weighs in at 10 lbs, 2 oz. at just over a year old. He is an orange tabby and he kinda blends in with our hardwood floor, so the picture below was taken in the bathroom (which is his fav after school hangout). During the daytime, he is calm and collected, but after 9:07 PM he goes nuts. He's like John Belushi in Animal House without the college education. But we love him!

As Sean has pointed out, at some point there will have to be a picture of me on this blog in full bearded glory. You'll have to be the judge if that qualifies me as a rodent of unusual size, but sources tell me its a no-brainer.
